Hi, almost 90% girls menstruate without knowing terms associated to that phenomenon. Well I have got your back as always. 

Menstruation Is a periodic occurrence during the reproductive years of a lady(from menarche to menopause),In which there is moulting if inner lining if the womb followed by bleeding.Here's 7 lists of rarely known Menstruation terms:

1.Menorrhagia : 

It is also known as hypermenorrhoea.This refers to excessive menstrual flow but the cycle is of normal duration. Sometimes however, the duration may be prolonged.

2.polymennorrhagia: 

Bleeding is excessive and the length of the cycle is reduced . Commonly seen in cases of pelvic inflammatory diseases.

3. polymenorrhea:

It is also called epimenorrhea . The bleeding is cyclical with normal flow but it occurs at too frequent intervals like about two times in a month . it is due to the disturbance of the rythmic release of homornes from the pituitary gland or the ovary is not responding to the homornes released.

4. Menarche: 

This refers to the first menstrual flow a woman or lady undergoes and is affirmed to take place between the ages of 11 to 17 probably 18 but not really normal so at the  age of eighteen and you are yet to see your menstrual flow , you need a doctor's appointment.

5. Menopause: 

This is the end of the females reproductivity I.e it is the period when they no longer tend to menstruate again hence they do not ovulate any longer which confirms the fact that they can no longer reproduce.

6.FSH: 

Follicle Stimulating hormone is the homorne secreted by the anterior lobe just after menses which causes graffian follicles to develop in the ovary and stimulate the ovary to produce oestrogen.

7. LH: 

Leutenising homornes is an homorne produced by the anterior pituitary after it's stimulation by oestrogen. They bring about ovulation and also causes the graffian follicles to change into corpus luteum.
